Today seems to be an animal Blogger template day. This is the second cat template I’ve made available for all you cat lovers around the world. This is a rather simple template with minimal features so it’s easy for anyone to setup. Just download and install. There’s only one image which is the cute kitten picture looking at you from the right side. Of course the image is hosted on our server so you don’t need to worry about it breaking down the road. Medieval, parchment, and scroll blogger templates seem to be very popular these days so we’ve taken the liberty to find another great one called Aspire. This three-column Blogger template comes dressed up with all the goodies a knight of the round table would want for his blog. You get a search box, recent posts and comments widgets, a custom built date stamp for each post, and more. In order to get the recent posts and recent comments widgets working, you’ll need to read “How to setup your recent posts and comments” post. Not to worry, all the images are hosted via our Pro Photobucket account so you won’t experience the “End of the month blogger blues” which happens to thousands of Google Blogspot Bloggers every month. The dynamic date on each post is handled by a custom written javascript function which is embedded into the template as well. Most other templates you download link to an external .js file so at any point the date might stop working on your blog. For those who like to rock….we salute you! This simple grey and white Blogger template comes dressed with a crowd of people at a concert header image. In fact, it’s the only image in the entire template. So if you wish to swap it out, it’s easy. Essentially, you can turn this template into whatever theme you want. That’s what makes this template so special. It’s also fluid width so when you maximize your browser, it stretches. To replace the header image just search for this line of code: Then paste in another image with height of 150px and width of 100%. Make sure you pick a header image that looks good when it’s repeated since this template stretches. You’ll see what I mean if you use a bad header image. Styleicious Template
Styleicious is a cool web 2.0 style Blogger template with tabs across the top right. The header is a soft aqua blue and the body contains 2 or 3 column, a nice footer where you can put your post archives, and a search box to boot. To change the tab urls and names you need to edit the template code. Open the .xml file in a text editor and then search for this: Now you can change the hrefs and tab names to whatever you like. sIMPRESS Template
I’m excited to announce that sIMPRESS 2.0 for Blogger is now available. This is a nice web 2.0 Blogger template with several cool features. First off, it’s got tabs across the top so you can customize and add new ones as you please. Next, it’s a fluid width template which means it stretches when you expand your browser. It also has a cool date function that shows the day and month for each post. It’s using a javascript formatting function to handle this which you don’t need to worry about. There is also a search box built in but you’ll have to wire it up for it to work properly. There’s a couple of simple configuration settings you need to make in order for this template to work properly. In order to get the date to display correctly, you need to go into your “Settings” => “Formatting” area and change the timestamp format to this format “Sunday, January 20, 2008″. See the image for details. Next, to setup your tabs across the top, you need to edit the template code. Look for this block of code and change the links and names of each tab as you like. All images are pre-hosted and the javascript is built into the template so the date on each post feature works very well! We distribute template unlike other sites which break after a few months because the owner moved the images or javascript file. We host the images on an unlimited bandwidth server so you don’t have to worry about broken images! I’m not sure what the name Solipsus actually means but according to the template designer she was inspired by the wacky style of Adult Swim. Desert Sunrise Template
This template is fluid width and designed for 1024×768 and wider screen resolutions. It will expand in width to fit the width of your screen. This template will NOT work in “classic” Blogger mode. This theme features an easy to edit navigation bar in the heading, 3 full columns, a built in RSS Feed and full support for drag and drop sidebar widgets to add content. The images are already hosted via Photobucket, no need to download those separately! IMPORTANT! Make sure you backup or save your existing customizations like links and sidebar addons, hit counters, widget contents, etc. before deleting the old skin because they will be replaced by the new code. After installation just copy and paste your customizations back in from your original code. In some cases the template editor will ask to confirm the deletion of some of the widgets / page element sections. This will happen when you have widgets installed that are not included in this theme. This theme includes a bare minimum of widget elements. You should make backup copies of the contents of those widgets before deleting or you will lose the data! Once the theme is installed, you can reinstall your widget elements and complete the customization. Your blogs title will automatically replace the title you see in the header.
